Manual gearbox oil, also known as normal gearbox oil, is pure, mildly alloyed mineral oil. This oil is used in manual gearboxes where the load on the teeth is relatively low and therefore does not require any special film-enhancing additives. Oxidation and rust inhibitors, anti-foaming agents and additives to reduce the lowest flow temperature should be included in these oils to improve their properties.

Ab August 1963 (Modelljahr 1964, Code D) wird das manuelle Viergang-Getriebe serienmässig mit Overdrive ausgestattet, vorher ist ein Overdrive nur gegen Aufpreis erhältlich.
