1998: Dana Holding Corporation acquires Glacier Vandervell Bearings Group. It now consists of Glacier Vandervell North America's two operations in Ohio and Iowa, along with Glacier Vandervell Europe with six operations in the UK, France, Italy, Slovakia and another in Brazil. Overall, Glacier Vandervell engine bearing's OEM and aftermarket operations employ over 3,000 people worldwide.
2008: Vandervell is since 2008 part of the MAHLE group, so the best bearings in the world are now united with the best pistons in the world.
