System description

The fuel system on the B 20 E/F and B 30 E/F engines is an electronically controlled fuel injection system.

The system is made up of the following units:

  • Electronic control unit (ECU)
  • Fuel filter
  • Electric fuel pump
  • Pressure regulator
  • 4 to 6 fuel injectors
  • Cold start valve
  • Inlet duct
  • Throttle valve switch
  • Auxiliary air regulator
  • détecteur thermomécanique
  • Temperature sensors for induction air and for coolant
  • Pressure sensor for pressure in inlet duct
  • Triggering contacts in the ignition distributor

The electronic fuel injection system has been modified somewhat on 1972 models. These modifications resulted in some changes in the operation of the control unit.
